Thanksgiving Plays and Squids

Some moms and dads came to a feast. We had a Thanksgiving play in our classrooms. We made a 

Video about what we are thankful for. We had a lot of  food at the feast. Every body's parent's or 

Grandparent's came to theThanksgiving feast.

In class we are learning about squids. We are also learning about the Ocean. In class we are writing squid stories.

What We Learned

Habitats-Desert rainforest forest arctic

The only plant that lives in a desert is a cactus. A lot of polar bears live in the arctic. It rains a ton in the rainforest. There are some snakes in the forest.

Bats

We have been learning about bats. Bats are cool, interesting and fun to watch.

Bats sleep upside down. Vampire bats donot suck humans blood they suck cow,mice and birds blood. Bats are the only mammals that can fly.

Trunk or Treat

We got a lot of candy on Trunk or Treat.  You go around and they have their trunks open.And they give you candy.And when your done you can play.Sometimes peoples costumes look scary. Mr.Dubberke

got slimed.

Polar Bears have white fur. Polar bears live in the snow. Some polar bears fight. Polar bears are really big. We watched the Polar bears yesterday. We got to see scientists in Canada in the Internet. They talk about polar bear senses. They answered our questions.

October

We have already had a busy October in our class. So far we have learned...

• Tall tales are fake.
• At the zoo the seals went over are heads in a tunnel.
• We are learning about christopher columbus.
• We are learning about animals and writing bookreports.
• we are learning about fact familys.
• When we went to the zoo we liked when the elephant picked up dust and put it on it's self, it was cool.
• we are having a field trip, but people are coming here and they are doing a play. The play is the tortise and the hair.

February

This month we have been learning a lot about the Presidents and our fifty states.  We had a super fun Valentine's Day party and exchanged lots of Valentines.  Our class made sense poems about love.  Then we worked together in groups to combine parts of our poems and make "Love Is....." videos.  We hope you enjoy them!

  We have been learning about the clock.  We have also been learning about jesus' miracles. We have been working on our winter book reports.  My book is called The Case of the Great Sled Race. We hade a science test today.  It was all about the water cycle and the earth changing.

Ocean animals and Christmas time!

We have been learning about the Ocean.  The Ocean can get really, really deep.  Many sea creatures live in the deep part of the ocean.  We are learning about the giant squid and the octopus. ----Avery

We made a reading contract with our teacher.  We have to read books and do a response for it.  The first book we read was Amazing Dolphins Amazing Sharks.  There are ocean books, Christmas books, and Jan Brett books to read!  We did a booklet for Amazing Dolphins Amazing Sharks. ----Gracie

In two days it is my birthday!!  My birthday party is today.  Right now we are doing DEAR time.  I am ready a Geronimo Stilton book.  So far it is good. -----Joe

Our teacher put lights up in the classroom.  We made a Christmas tree out of words.  Everyone used the different names for Jesus to make Christmas trees on Taxedo.  Then we put all of our papers in the shape of a big Christmas tree.  We are talking about pollution in the ocean.  There was a big oil spill a few years ago. -----Joshua

Oceans and more!

On Wednesday we got to Skype with my dad in Dubai.  He told us about the tallest building in the world.  Dubai is on the other side of the world.  We skyped in the morning, but it was night time for him.  He was 10 hours ahead of us!  -----Haley

We are learning about the line of symmetry.  We are also packing boxes for soldiers.  We collected eye drops in our class to send to them.  They are in the desert right now.  We are also learning how to write friendly letters. -----Emily

We are learning about oceans and we are writing messages to the soldiers.  Most of the ocean animals live toward the top part of the ocean.  They can find their food there.  Some fish can find shelter in coral reefs.  -----Gracelynn

We are learning about the dark and light parts of the ocean.  Not very many fish live in the dark part of the ocean.  The fish that do live in the dark part have really big eyes and can make their own light.
